The Long Story
On fire on stage, Jypsy Rose brings Texas Music back to life. Born in Texas City, Texas Jypsy combines Texas Southern Music influences with rock & blues for a distinct sound. Her soulful 'Janis Joplin' like singing style shows her spirit as an artist, a storyteller and an entertainer. What a musical genius writing and composing/producing her own material. Jypsy sets a new bar for male and female entertainers everywhere.
Jypsy began performing in a family wedding and corporate band in 1998 until 2000 when she took a break to be married, have children and raise them. But Jypsy came back to the stage in 2013 when the death of her daughter shook her awake and she realized she belonged on stage. Wild Cactus Rose was the name of her first country band and the artist name she sometimes performed under as a solo act at kid's fests, night clubs, festivals, weddings, and corporate events. Almost immediately after publishing her first song, Wild Cactus Rose/Jypsy Rose ranked #1 in Worldwide Country charts and Independent Artist charts, and #1 in New Zealand in 2014, which lead to the break up of the band and the launch of her solo career. Jypsy's calling draws her out to write music to inspire women, to help the broken and battered, and to survive loss.
